Purple Swamphen Size: 45cm Habitat: Located across the Top End of Australia, down the Eastern half and Southern WA, this bird inhabits swamps and marshland. Feeds on plant matter. Notes: Red bill and forehead, purple face, neck and body, black wings, white under tail. Breeds variably.
